Expectations in parenthood
This workshop is for parents and anyone weighed down each day by expectations – their own and others’. In a time when every book, course and social network shows us how we should be doing everything better, the demands multiply and our inner critic keeps forging fresh proof that we’re not enough.
Through simple coaching techniques and experiential activities you’ll discover where your expectations come from, whose voice you actually hear behind them, and how to tell what is truly yours from what you’ve simply taken on from those around you.
You’ll take away concrete tools for handling the pressure of expectations more gently, and one important realisation: the demands never end, but you are good enough already – even as you’re still learning.
What the workshop gives you
- 1You’ll understand where your expectations come from and which of them are actually just borrowed.
- 2You’ll learn to recognise when expectations press on you the most – and how to catch your inner critic before it throws you off.
- 3You’ll experience what it’s like to answer yourself with the same kindness you’d offer a friend.
- 4You’ll discover that the goal isn’t to meet every expectation, but to change your relationship with them.
- 5You’ll take away a concrete tool and a small step to speak to yourself more gently tomorrow.
